Temples and Palaces, India
This 14-day trip is a wonderful introduction to the magic of India. It is made up of a golden triangle tour as well as an unforgettable visit to an incredible national park before travelling through Rajasthan and Varanasi. The tour starts with a full day tour of Old and New Delhi before we head to Agra where we spend the afternoon visiting the Taj Mahal. The tour then takes in the pink city of Jaipur, including a view of Amber Palace from a unique angle as we ride in on the back of a majestic elephant, we then tour the sights of the pink city before visiting Shekhawati Havellis often described as the ‘open art gallery of Rajasthan’. Returning to Delhi where we board the overnight train to Varanasi where we have the day free to explore and an unforgettable evening of festivities on the river Ganges followed by a day of sightseeing in Varanasi. In the morning we fly to Khajuraho to explore ornate temples. The next day we drive to Orrcha, which seems to have changed little in the last 500 years. We the next day exploring this beautiful area before boarding the train back to Delhi for a final night in this vibrant city.
