The Garden Route
You are here : Home > Destinations > South Africa > The Garden Route
This 9-day South Africa overland adventure tour follows the famous 'Garden Route' along the country's south coast from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Along the way you'll enjoy tasting South African wine, see beautiful coastal & mountain scenery, marvel at the limestone rock formations in Cango Caves and search for game on safari in Addo National Park.

After an initial free day to take in the sights and sounds of Cape Town we board our comfortable adventure truck and head inland to Stellenbosch, famous for its world class wines and historic grandeur. We'll also visit the Kraal Gallery, a family business that trains, employs & empowers women to become qualified master weavers. Here you will have the opportunity to participate in a short “Weaverbird course”. From here we make our way through the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains to visit the impressive limestone caverns and rock formations of the Cango caves. The next day we will depart for the beautiful seaside town of Knysna.
Our next stop is the Tsitsikamma National Park where you can enjoy forest hikes & trails, treetop canopy tours, blackwater tubing or if you're feeling very adventurous, the highest Bungee jump in the world! Continuing east we take a game drive in the Addo Elephant National Park which is home to many of Africa’s big game.
Our final destination is the coastal town of Port Elizabeth where your tour ends.

Note: This tour also operates in the reverse direction, starting with an airport transfer and hotel night in Port Elizabeth, and ending with one night in Cape Town. Extra accommodation can be added in Cape Town if required. Please check the tour dossier for full details.
