This comprehensive tour of Egypt goes a little more in-depth and visits Cairo, the Nile Valley and the Red Sea. An Egyptologist guide will reflect on the city’s ancient Pharaonic history and show you around the Pyramids, the Sphinx at Giza and the noteworthy King Tutankhamen display. An overnight sleeper train will take you south to Aswan in upper Egypt. From this beautiful spot, a boat excursion will visit the striking island temple of Philae and the expansive Aswan Dam.

The night will be spent on a traditional felucca travelling up the Nile to a selection of temples at Luxor – the world’s greatest open-air museum and the Valley of the Kings. A Nile felucca cruise boat will take you down the river to Luxor – home to entrancing temples and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings before returning back to Cairo.

If its relics and relaxation you are after – then this tour is for you. Kicking off in Cairo, the tour visits the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and Tutankhamen’s exhibition at the Egyptian Museum. You will even have the chance to climb down into the pyramids themselves. This will be followed by an excursion up to Aswan for sightings of the island temple of Philae by boat as well as Aswan Dam. We also recommend taking the optional tour to the UNESCO world heritage site at Abu Simbel.

Witness a truly spectacular festival with this special tour that takes place twice a year. Abu Simbel is a magnificent temple complex that was built by King Ramses II – a prolific pharaoh who wanted to showcase his power. On the 22 February (the anniversary of Ramses’ accession to the throne) and the 22 October (his birthday), the internal chambers and statues are lit up by the sun – an event really worth experiencing.

This carefully timed trip embarks from Cairo, allowing you to visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx before heading off to Aswan where you can discover the island temple of Philae and the Aswan Dam. Early the next morning our Egyptologist guide will escort you to Abu Simbel, just in time for sunrise and the lighting up of the statues. This special experience is followed by a relaxing overnight cruise on a traditional felucca down the Nile River – alternatively you can upgrade to another night in Aswan. You will arrive at Luxor to see the temples of Komombo, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. This tour comes to an end in Cairo, however if you want to spend more time by the Red Sea, this can easily be arranged.
