We had an amazing trip! Mariska was super helpful in accommodating our requests to upgrade our itinerary and providing all our pre-tour information and details. Hani, our tour guide, was spectacular, and every detail was carefully attended to by the Encounters team in Egypt. We felt safe and relaxed as tours and transportation took place flawlessly and enjoyed every minute we were there.
This tour is incredible - we saw all the major sights in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor, and enjoyed several days at the Jaz Makadi Resort in Hurghada. The tour is arranged more or less chronologically and you have the same guide the entire time, so you really get a great experience following the cultural/religious/political development of ancient Egypt over several thousand years.
Encounters was very professional and made sure we were happy throughout our tour. Sheriff, our tour guide, was amazing - he went out of his way for us several times. He is an expert guide with tons of knowledge. My wife and I had a great time thanks to the people at Encounters Travel.
My wife and I had limited time so the 9-day tour seemed perfect. I still can't believe how many sites we were able to see and activities we were able to experience. Sheriff's knowledge of Egyptian history and sense of humor made this trip informative and fun. We did many of the add-ons so the schedule was hectic, but that's how we like to travel when our time is limited. I especially recommend the hot air balloon and Abu Simbel!
The tour well and truly exceeded our expectations. Credit definitely needs to be given to Prakesh, our guide, who was very knowledgable, funny and a pleasure to spend two weeks with.
Ishwor, our porter, was also great!

We had a fantastic tour and there we no major problems. The staff were very helpful.
We had a wonderful time in Egypt and made some great friends while we were there! Our only concern was that everyone got food poisoning at the end of the trip so food hygiene standards may need to be addressed at places the tour visits. Our guide Maghed was the best! He became a genuine friend.
