Family Tours

Whether it is a cultural adventure to Egypt to discover the Pyramids and learn about the ancient history of the Pharaohs, or a jungle adventure bamboo rafting and riding elephants in Thailand, we have plenty of specially designed family holiday itineraries for you to choose from.

Taking your children on holiday can be an unforgettable adventure for all the family. Children learn by experience, and the educational and character building benefits of travelling from a young age are well known. We have designed a range of holidays specially suited to the needs of families with children. Some of these special requirements include child friendly guides, extra free time, more flexibility to do and see what you want, the proper management of important safety issues, and most of all, the reducing of stress for the parents. Running your tour privately allows your guide to be more flexible with your itinerary during the day, and to spend more/less time at certain sites according to the interest and ages of your children. There are many countries in which we operate that are very well suited to active and adventurous family holidays that will not only keep the children happy and occupied but also be challenging an rewarding for parents too. Take a look below at some examples of fun family holiday itineraries or try reading a few of our features and articles for more inspiration on where to go for your next family holiday.

Excellent, prompt responses to any e mail enquiries, as well as efficient service over the phone when I was considering making the booking. Documents e mailed out as required.
A fabulous trip. Wonderful experience being part of a small group touring a truly amazing country. Sami, our guide, was fantastic - superb knowledge, delivered in a fun and relaxed style. A really outstanding, memorable trip.

Everything was very well organized and our guide Magz was incredible! He genuinely looked out for us the entire trip, especially in the markets and busy areas, as well as taught us about all of the history of the places we were at. Transportation was always ready and waiting for us and the accommodations were way nicer than we expected. Well done Encounters!
We really got to see a lot for the time we spent in Egypt and Encounters made sure no time was wasted in waiting for transportation and rooms and things like that. We had a great group, a great guide, and really learned a lot. All accommodations were exceptional and we couldn't believe how we did everything for such a good price

Good communication, questions answered promptly, documents in order. Very helpful.
Wonderful trip. Quality accommodation especially given the lower cost of the adventure. Well paced, very well taken care of by all staff. Amazing tour leader, Waleed Khamouna, PhD in Egyptology ... couldn't ask for more. Felt very secure the entire trip.

We had a fantastic tour and there we no major problems. The staff were very helpful.
We had a wonderful time in Egypt and made some great friends while we were there! Our only concern was that everyone got food poisoning at the end of the trip so food hygiene standards may need to be addressed at places the tour visits. Our guide Maghed was the best! He became a genuine friend.

The transactions and communications were all very smooth. Except that the tme i reached Morocco and tried to call the guide that was originally assigned were to no avail. The handphone number provided by admin were not correct. Anyway the guide who met us, Idris, was splendid throughout the trip! He made our trip an exciting one!
Mersmerised by the beauty of Morroccan history and landscape! All captured through my lenses and shared to all my friends and circle. Now, more want to experience the wonderful journey I made through the deserts and mountains of Morocco and the Moroccan people.

Our video features aim to bring our adventure tours to life in a way that no photo can, giving you a great taste of the destination.
