My boyfriend and I just returned from a trip booked by Encounters Travel. The trip was amazing. The flights were the best flights and shortest flights available. Our hotels had great food and gorgeous view. I emailed them alot and each time I heard back from someone with a day or two. I would book travel with them again.

Our shoestring tours are perfect for those wanting to explore an exciting destination but on a lower budget.
Larger maximum group sizes, a generally lower base accommodation level, and options for hotel upgrades help to make these tours more cost effective.
Itineraries concentrate a little more on the main highlights of a country that everyone will want to see, but may miss some of the more out of the way places, experiences and activities that can only be done with lower numbers.
Some of our shoestring tours work on a “point to point” basis, allowing you to continue exploring a destination on your own after you have completed the tour with us.

Group sizes do vary from tour to tour (you can find this info on the individual tour pages), however in general our Shoestring tours do have larger group sizes than our small group tours.
Our largest group size is up to 45, however most tours tend to have an average of around 15 participants.
Accommodation levels differ from tour to tour, however to keep our shoestring tours cost-effective, we use 3-star accommodation, but you do have the option to upgrade on some tours.
Meal inclusions do vary from tour to tour, with some including more than others. As a minimum our tours include daily breakfast, however some tours also include some lunches and dinners - you can find tour specific information on the individual tour pages.
