A Tibet tour is truly a once in a lifetime experience as we take you to the roof of the world, perched high in the Himalayan Mountains and stretching out across the Tibetan Plateau - famous for its stunning landscapes, historic architecture and unique Tibetan culture - leaving you with the ultimate Tibetan travel experience.

When you visit Tibet, you can expect to witness some of the highest mountains in the world - including a share of Mount Everest, and a long and deeply rooted Buddhist culture - this beautiful but harsh country makes an interesting and challenging destination to visit.

A Tibet tour has a long list of ancient and fascinating places to visit. You will spend your time visiting monasteries, temples, ancient villages, crystal-clear lakes while enjoying endless mountain views.

The capital city Lhasa, which means "Holy Land" is the heart of the country and offers plenty to see and do, including a trip to the spectacular Potala Palace, walking tours along Barkhor Street, and a visit to Drepung Monastery - one of the largest monasteries on the planet.

Excursions out of Lhasa include a visit to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet and beautifully ornate Tashilhunpo Monastery.

When you book a Tibet tour with Encounters Travel, you will experience gorgeous lakes nestled in hidden valleys, high altitude passes that connect the many winding river valleys, dotted traditional villages and ornate monasteries all of which makes a perfect place to stop and mingle with the friendly locals.

TOUR REVIEWS

Amazing tour. Any issues we had were addressed in a timely fashion and the resolutions were satisfactory. My only complaint is the driver picking us up was late and none of the cell numbers worked when we tried to call and figure out what to do.

There was a lot of communication from the beginning. The encounters staff was very responsive and the tour guide was great and very accommodating. Encounters was also able to help me with last minute changes to my itinerary while I was on the trip.

I was pleased and impressed with the experience in booking and obtain all necessary documents in a timely manner. I am looking forward to my tour and hope the ground experience it just as good. This trip is my dream/bucket list trip.

This is our first travel through Encounters Travel and so far the arrangement is working very well. Our travel is not until April 2017 so I am more than hopeful all will continue to run as smoothly as it has so far.

I purchased my rid tour as part of a group coupon. Is obituary hesitant but my tour was great. The staff at Encounters were professional and helpful. I had a lot of questions but no one made me feel like a pest. Good experience.
I always wanted to go to Morocco and I finally got to go last September. I'm glad I chose this tour group. They were professional and attentive. Good times!
