Argentina tours

Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world, and the second largest in South America after Brazil. It has borders with Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, and as such is a popular hub for multi-country tours in the region. The southern city of Ushuaia is also the main starting point for Antarctic cruises. The first language is Spanish, but English is widely spoken too.

Because the country is so large, and stretches from the Southern Ocean right up to the heights of the Andes, there are a huge variety of environments and different landscapes to discover. These include several of the world's most spectacular locations for adventure travel, such as the Perito Moreno Glacier, Torres del Paine National Park, and Los Glaciares National Park, in Patagonia. The Andes mountains are popular for trekking, skiiing, and climbing. On the border with Brazil you also find the Iguazu Falls, among the largest in the world, with the various sections stretching over 2 and a half kilometres.

The wildlife in Argentina is also extremely varied. On the coastline you can see sea lions, seals, penguins, whales and dolphins, with boat trips and cruises available to get up close. In the Ibera Wetlands (the second largest wetlands in the world after Brazil's Pantanal), there are capybaras, giant otters, alligators and numerous species of birds. The central grassy plains, or pampas, are packed with farms with cows, sheep and horses. Then, in the Andean mountains and foothills, there are llamas, alpacas, tapirs, monkeys, porcupines, and a few jaguar, to name but a few.

Argentina is also rightly reknowned for its food and drink, with Argentine beef and red wine in particular famous around the world. The Mendoza wine producing region makes perhaps the best wines in Argentina, and is one of the largest producing areas in the world, with the Andes mountains forming a beautiful backdrop to the vineyards.

TOUR REVIEWS

Took care of every single detail from prior to our arrival in Cario until we we're dropped of at the airport a week later. Our hotels, tours, meals, and tour group we're all wonderful. Our tour guide was wonderful!
The price was great and the people wonderful!

Amazing tour. Any issues we had were addressed in a timely fashion and the resolutions were satisfactory. My only complaint is the driver picking us up was late and none of the cell numbers worked when we tried to call and figure out what to do.

I purchased my rid tour as part of a group coupon. Is obituary hesitant but my tour was great. The staff at Encounters were professional and helpful. I had a lot of questions but no one made me feel like a pest. Good experience.
I always wanted to go to Morocco and I finally got to go last September. I'm glad I chose this tour group. They were professional and attentive. Good times!

My experience with Encounters was excellent from start to finish. The Tour Guide, Sheriff, was the most passionate, enthusiastic and professional guide I have ever had on a tour and his love for Egypt really made me enjoy my time so much more.

Ant provided excellent service. He always responded as quickly as he could, attending to the questions I had for him. He was also very patient and pleasant. I depended on his knowledge and service to make the trip.
I liked the service and the tour guide & driver on the tour. They were professional and provided very good service. I thought 1-2 hotels on the trip were not quite 4-star. It also happened that this group of people was always late for schedule and our walk pace was too slow. It really needs the guide to make people on schedule and be punctual for the activity. Overall I think the time management of this tour needs improvement.
