Join us on a deeply moving and culturally rich journey that bridges the magnificent history of Istanbul with the profound solemnity of the Gallipoli battlefields. The adventure begins in the only city in the world to span two continents, where you will enjoy a fully guided tour of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks. Guests will explore the architectural wonders of the Blue Mosque, the St. Sophia Museum, and Topkapi Palace, before wandering through the historic Hippodrome and the vibrant alleys of the Grand Bazaar. Throughout this leg of the journey, you will enjoy the modern comforts and spectacular Golden Horn views offered by our base at The Halich Hotel.
As we transition from city exploration to historical remembrance, the itinerary travels south to Çanakkale in preparation for the ANZAC Day commemorations. Navigating the unique official security restrictions on 24 April, our expert guides will organise a flexible and engaging daytime programme tailored to the group. Following some essential rest at the hotel, the anticipation builds with a midnight departure and ferry crossing to Anzac Cove, securing a prime location for the overnight wait ahead of the services.
The culmination of this itinerary is the poignant ANZAC Day Dawn Service. Awakening before sunrise, you will experience the reverent silence as we commemorate our fallen forefathers on this incredibly special day. Following the "Spirit of Place" introduction and the official Dawn Service, the morning continues with the opportunity to pay respects at the national memorial services, including the Australian Memorial at Lone Pine and the New Zealand Memorial at Chunuk Bair. This meticulously planned tour ensures a seamless, respectful, and entirely unforgettable commemorative experience.
Many of our group itineraries can be booked as private departures, offering the flexibility to customise your accommodation or work with our sales team to create a completely tailor-made journey. Contact us for details.
