Jordan is a destination that is sometimes underrated - the land of lost cities and adventures like Lawrence of Arabia, it's a place that should be much more popular than it is.
Jordan is safe and hospitable, however, it suffers guilt by association due to its location in the Middle East. Travellers who take the time to discover and explore this peaceful and friendly nation are rewarded with a warm welcome from locals.
If you're interested in planning a trip to Jordan, at Encounters Travel, we understand that everyone is different and that's why we provide a variety of Jordan tours that will suit every traveller's preference.
Quintessentially Middle Eastern, the desert country of Jordan was previously only accessible to the most fearless and adventurous of explorers - however, over the years more visitors going on a Petra / Jordan adventure are now able to discover all aspects of the country, including beautiful desert and mountain scenery, lost cities, spectacular ruins and the delights of the Red Sea.
The modern-day country of Jordan, Often evoking images of ancient Biblical times, is widely regarded as one of the most progressive Middle Eastern countries with the capital city Amman standing at the forefront.

Maximum group sizes are normally higher too, and there may be a few fewer inclusions in the itinerary. More public transport options may also be used and on some tours, we may share the trip with other operators - but in no way will you enjoy Jordan any less!
