During the month of January, the temperatures are balmy, the weather is dry and everybody is feeling festive.
By day, the locals and visitors flock to the coastline to grab a sandy spot before taking a quick dip in the icy waters. Inland, scenic walking trails wind past waterfalls and up sharp inclines.
An abundance of wine farms promises award-winning labels and tastings paired with locally made cheese on leafy patios. The sun only sets after 8pm, giving everyone enough time to seek out a chic bar with the perfect view or to hike to the top of a towering mountain peak.

The month of February brings about dry weather, with sunny days, mostly clear blue skies and comfortable temperatures. With these idyllic conditions, you can explore the profusion of sights to your heart’s content.
If it is temple trails you are after then Cambodia is the place. Thanks to the good weather, you can take your time to meander around the vast grounds, venture into jungles to find the remaining ruins or even journey up to the striking shrines balancing on hilltops.
There are some incredible trekking routes through the mountainous scenery that lead to hill tribes. Both of these countries are also blessed with sublime beaches, tropical islands and dreamy lagoons. The crystal, calm and temperate waters mean that snorkelling and scuba diving are highly popular aquatic activities.
BEST DESTINATION TO VISIT IN MARCH: NEPALEvery avid trekker dreams of exploring Nepal’s spectacular trails, but an excellent experience is definitely weather dependent. The shoulder season is a particularly good time to visit, as the spring brings warm and dry weather and vivid rhododendron flowers along the low altitude trails.
With the days getting warmer, the trekking season begins and the trails are less crowded than in autumn. Some favourite treks can be found in the Everest Region, the Annapurna Circuit and around Pokhara.
If you want more relaxed routes, plenty of day hikes include ancient trade routes that pass ancient ruins, medieval villages and hillside temples.
In Nepal’s subtropical plains, you will find an array of wildlife and national parks. March is also an ideal month for bird watching and spotting the elusive tigers. Holi, the Festival of Colours is a highlight of the month, where coloured powder and water are thrown in the streets.

The annual Jordan Rally also takes place during April, and crowds gather along the Dead Sea shoreline to watch rally drivers tackle the route. The Dead Sea Ultra Marathon is another popular event that is known as the lowest marathon in the world.
