The worst tour company. We will not recommend to anyone. It was very unfortunate that we got deceived by this tour company. We could certainly see the difference after doing our tour with leading tour companies such as Cosmos and Trafalgar. Waste of money and time. Please don not get fooled. They are after your money only.

Meals and rest breaks needs to be prioritised. Waking up at 4am and only having breakfast at 3:30pm is not acceptable. Staying out until 9:30pm and then having to wake up at 4am is not acceptable. Communication between guides and local reps need to be improved. Last min changes in itinerary due to poor planning is unacceptable.

Jordan on a shoestring

Encounters Travel passed our tour booking onto local Al-Thuraya Travel and I believe this is why we received substandard service. No meet and greet at airport, after four phone calls and waiting for over an hour driver finally turned up. Itinerary, received a few days before travelling, stated Amman International Hotel but were taken to the Signature Hotel, definitely not four stars, wet towels and other problems with room. Next …

Encounters Not Recommended

Whilst the trip itself to Sudan which was run and managed by a local company was great, unfortunately I cannot recommend Encounters. Their UK office were impossible to get hold of, visa information limited, they charged a single supplement (£500) despite there being another passenger who would have shared if the option had been offered, and most importantly forgot to send me a critical email update about arrangements in relation …
