I thought it was very good we didn't have to worry about anything everything was in order and kept with the schedule as planned, unless we wanted to deviated from it to do somethingelse. The trip really a trip of a life time.
There was a time many years ago that I wanted to travel to Egypt and didn't because of the cost. This trip was, to me, very affordable. I think everyone should experience this trip. The tour guide was alos excellent, Sherif Mohammad.

Took care of every single detail from prior to our arrival in Cario until we we're dropped of at the airport a week later. Our hotels, tours, meals, and tour group we're all wonderful. Our tour guide was wonderful!

There was a lot of communication from the beginning. The encounters staff was very responsive and the tour guide was great and very accommodating. Encounters was also able to help me with last minute changes to my itinerary while I was on the trip.

Croatia, officially the Republic of Croatia, is an Eastern European country. It is located on the Adriatic Sea and encompasses more than a thousand islands. The capital of Croatia is Zagreb, which is one of the primary subdivisions, along with 20 counties.

This developed country has a very high standard of living and is a republic governed under a parliamentary system. Croatia is a member of the European Union and the United Nations.

The economy of Croatia is strongly influenced by the industrial and service sectors, and agriculture. Croatia is also ranked among the top 20 most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Situated in Central and Southeast Europe, Croatia is bordered by Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the southeast, Montenegro to the southeast, the Adriatic Sea to the southwest, and Slovenia to the northwest.

There are four types of biogeographical regions in Croatia: Mediterranean, Alpine, Pannonian and Continental. Croatia can also be subdivided between several ecoregions because of the geomorphology and climate. The country has a rich biodiversity with 37,0000 known species.

Croatia experiences a relatively warm and rainy continental climate. The coldest parts of the country are Gorski Kotar and Lika with a snowy-forested climate. The warmest areas in Croatia are along the Adriatic Coast with a Mediterranean climate.

There is no official religion in Croatia and freedom of religion is a right defined by the Constitution. Christianity is the largest religion followed by Islam.

  • Krka Monastery – a Serbian Orthodox monastery protected as part of the Krka National Park.
  • City walls & forts – bounding the town of Dubrovnik, these walls and forts were built in the 9th century.

Tips

  • Invest in a pair of reef shoes to avoid getting injured by sea urchins.
  • Croatian is a difficult language, but most of the locals speak a little English.
  • Many restaurants in the cities serve food until midnight, so you can dine later.
  • There is not much of a haggling culture and many shops have fixed prices.
  • Be sun smart when holidaying in Croatia, as the sun can be very strong.
  • Carry cash with you throughout your holiday because some places will not accept cards.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle to fill up in many of the freshwater fountains.
  • The public transport is convenient, reliable and a good way to get around the cities.
