Tips

Remove your shoes before entering a mosque and cover your head and shoulders.
Prepare to haggle as bargaining is expected by vendors and is part of the local shopping experience.
Eat only with your right hand as the left hand is used for ablutions in the Egyptian culture.
During the festival of Ramadan, the fasting month, do not eat or drink in public.
Do not touch someone from the opposite sex when you are in a public place.
